Inspection of Fire Extinguishers

he conditions of operation and ensuring regular inspection of fire extinguishers are regulated by Decree of the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic no. 719/2002 Coll.

Price of fire extinguisher inspection:

The price of the inspection of fire extinguishers is € 3.50 without VAT for one piece. In the case of repairs, the price will be determined based on the technician’s assessment on site.

Types of fire extinguishers

Powder fire extinguisher

Suitable for extinguishing propane, butane, hydrogen, and also suitable for extinguishing equipment under electric current.

Water fire extinguisher

Suitable for extinguishing the following materials: paper, wood, textiles, plastics, rubber, straw, coal.

Foam fire extinguisher

Suitable for extinguishing the following materials: petrol, oil, benzene, varnish, alcohols, ketones, aldehydes.

CO2 – snow extinguisher

Suitable for extinguishing propane, butane, hydrogen and rooms with a large amount of electronics, such as server rooms.

How often are fire extinguishers revised?

Fire extinguishers are inspected every 12 or 24 months, depending on the manufacturer and date of purchase.

How often is a pressure test of fire extinguishers performed?

The pressure test should be performed every 5 years.

What should I do if my fire extinguisher does not pass inspection?

If the fire extinguisher does not pass the inspection, you can request a repair – the price and time will be specified by the technician based on the damage to the fire extinguisher and the identification of spare parts that need to be replaced. Alternatively, you can order a new fire extinguisher from us.
